Attractive Australian pythons with spotted patterns. Docile and manageable. Excellent for intermediate keepers. Hardy and adaptable.

Enclosure

30-40 gallon breeder tank minimum. Provide hides, substrate, and climbing space. Good ventilation essential.

Temperature

Warm side: 88-92°F. Cool side: 75-80°F. Thermal gradient required. Under-tank heater with thermostat.

Humidity

Moderate (50-70%). Provide water bowl. Light misting acceptable. Good ventilation prevents respiratory issues.

Lighting

Nocturnal/crepuscular. UVB not required but beneficial. 12:12 light/dark cycle recommended.

Diet

Juveniles: pinky mice. Adults: small-medium mice or rats. Feed every 7-10 days. Frozen-thawed preferred.

Handling

Docile and handleable. Tolerate regular handling 1-2 times weekly. Generally calm temperament.

Health

Hardy species. Watch for mites, scale rot, respiratory issues. Generally disease-resistant. Live 15-20+ years.
