40-gallon breeder tank. Vertical space helpful. Humidity box with moist substrate. Good drainage critical.

Warm side: 85-90°F. Cool side: 75-80°F. Thermal gradient. Maintain 24/7 heat. Humidity reduces shedding stress.

High humidity (75-90%) essential. Regular misting. Humidity box filled with moist sphagnum. Avoid stagnant conditions.

Crepuscular/nocturnal. UVB not required but beneficial. 12:12 light/dark cycle. Avoid direct intense heat.

Juveniles: pinky mice. Adults: small-medium mice or small rats. Feed every 7-10 days. Frozen-thawed preferred.

Docile and handleable. Tolerate regular handling. Generally calm. Can be food-aggressive so wait 48 hours post-feeding.
