Enclosure

40-gallon breeder tank minimum. Horizontal space preferred. Sturdy hides and branches. Good ventilation.

Temperature

Warm side: 85-90°F. Cool side: 75-80°F. Thermal gradient essential. Under-tank heater with thermostat.

Humidity

Moderate (50-70%). Provide water bowl. Light misting acceptable. Good ventilation prevents respiratory issues.

Lighting

Nocturnal/crepuscular. UVB beneficial but not required. 12:12 light/dark cycle recommended.

Diet

Juveniles: pinky mice. Adults: small-medium mice or rats. Feed every 7-10 days. Can be food-aggressive.

Handling
