Overview

Nocturnal arboreal geckos from New Caledonia. No heat lamps required. Fruit-based diet. Excellent for beginners.

18" x 18" x 24" minimum. Vertical orientation. Live plants. Climbing branches. Screen ventilation.

Ambient: 70-75°F. Range: 65-80°F. NO heat lamp needed. Room temperature sufficient. Avoid above 80°F.

High humidity (60-80%). Daily light misting evening. Maintains enclosure moisture. Prevent standing water.

12:12 light/dark cycle. Low-level lighting. No UVB required. Avoid intense heat. Nocturnal-friendly setup.

Fruit-based diet. Commercial gecko diet or fruit puree. Small insects occasionally. Gutload insects with calcium.

Tolerant of handling. Short sessions preferred. Fragile limbs/tail. Avoid frequent grabbing. Sticky toe pads.

Generally hardy. Watch for respiratory infections, mites. Tail loss from improper handling regenerates incompletely. Live 15-20+ years.
